AFC celebrates 20th anniversary

With humble beginnings, Tony and Patricia MacLeod started AFC as a home business run out of their study back in April 1992.

With business growing at such a rapid rate, they grew out of the home office and moved to the company’s first offices in Bayswater, Victoria later that year.

Fast forward 20 years and today, AFC has 100 employees and International operations in New Zealand and further expansion plans abroad.

They have Australia covered with office and warehouse facilities in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane and sales offices in Canberra, Adelaide, Newcastle and Rockhampton.

The manufacturing facility in Melbourne has grown to be in excess 1,800 sq metres.

Reflecting on the past 20 years, Tony Macleod says “the company is my passion and I am even more enthusiastic about it today.

“We survived some hard times in the beginning but I am very happy to say the company is continuing to grow”.

AFC remains a privately owned Australian company with all profits retained locally. “To have 100 employees sharing the passion and providing exceptional customer service and product solutions is something that I am very proud of” Macleod added.

ADM’s Directory of Defence Suppliers would like to congratulate AFC on its 20 years and wish it well for the next 20.
