Japan's Triple Disaster: Earthquake, Tsunami and Fukushima. What really happened and what have we learned?

Purnendra Jain is a Professor of Japanese Studies in the Centre for Asian Studies at Australia’s University of Adelaide.

Author and editor of 12 books and numerous scholarly articles on contemporary politics and foreign policy of Japan; he is currently President of the Asian Studies Association of Australia.

Professor Jain will provide an insightful overview of the trifecta of disasters that struck Japan last year and what lessons may have been learnt from the experience.
