Ruslyn Holdings manufactures hand held cable reels for use by Army, Navy and Air Force. Two reels are available:
The Ruslyn Cordwheel AUS004754-61 NSN 8130/661533558 is used to deploy and store many coilable products such as power supply cables, long lengths of sigs cable, rope hose and wire. This reel has been in active service since 2005.
The Ruslyn Pack Reel AUS004754RPR-85 NSN 8130/661596431 is in service and has been specifically designed for the dismounted soldier and clearance diver. Used by Engineers, EOD, Special Forces, Search, Clearance Divers and Sigs. This small reel is able to be fitted to webbing or simply pack carried. It is extremely light, small and robust and designed to handle hook & line, det cord, firing and sigs cable. It is designed for use in conditions of extreme heat and cold with a gloved hand.
