Siemens CapacĀ® Impressed Current Cathodic Protection System (ICCP ) - Capac is an Electrical System Designed to Prevent Galvanic Corrosion of the Under Water Hull of a Ship, Oil Drilling Platform or Submerged Structure. The ICCP system is a back-up system that supplements the paint system. With a good paint system and ICCP the period between dry-docking may be extended to five (5) years with under water inspection and regulatory agency approval. This saves the owner the associated maintenance costs. Member of DMOSS (DMO Support Panel); EMEC (European Maritime Equipment Council).
